3D post-processing station is where you can clean up your 3D prints or take them to the next level.
There are a variety of techniques for post-processing a finished 3D print to attain a higher quality surface finish. Techniques such as sanding, and painting can give your 3D a more realistic touch. Check out more here.
Materials & Tools Needed:
- Flush Cutters
- Sandpaper
- Sanding sticks/ Sanding blocks
- Eye protection
- Wear eye protection!!
- To remove support, aka eat flush cutters up to the edge where the support attaches to your model.
- Pinch the support with the flush cutters, then twist the support away from the model.
- Clip off chunks and pieces of the support as you go with the cutters.
- Once support is removed, start sanding.
- The lower the number, the coarser the sandpaper will be- which means it will remove material faster.
- Start at a lower number sandpaper and work your way up

Materials & Tools Needed:
- Paintbrushes
- Paint
- Cup of water
- Plate for paint palette
- Napkins
- Paintbrush cleaning disc
- Make sure your model is clean before you try painting it.
- If you previously sanded your mode, wipe off the dust and residue with a damp paper towel.
- If there are areas that you want more vibrant colors, paint those areas with a light coat of white first.
- Paint areas in thin layers. If the paint is thick, ass a few drops of water to the paint.
- Allow paint to dry in between coats.
Materials & Tools Needed:
- Dremel
- Bits- drill bits, sanding, and grinding bits
- Eye Protection
- Wear eye protection!!
- If you have long hair, have it pulled back in a ponytail or another style.
- Make sure you don’t have any loose clothing, jewelry, or accessories.
- Changing bits:
- Only change bits when the Dremel is OFF
- Press down on the button near the end o the shade, while holding the button down. Rotate the tip holding in the bit clockwise.
- Remove the bit.
