What is 3D Printing?

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a process of joining material to create three dimensional objects from 3D digital data files, usually layer by layer as opposed to subtractive manufacturing methodologies.

What Materials should I Use?

  1. PLA – Great for proof of concept, prototyping, and visual prints.
  2. PETG – Great for more robust parts and chemical resistance.

What’s the turnaround time for 3D prints?

2 weeks minimum. Prints for classes or research are prioritized over personal prints.

Where can I find files to print?
I made my own file, can I print it?

If you make your own file we can print it! Export your model as an .stl, .obj, or a .3dm file and we’ll be able to print it for you.
