Zach O’Connor, our 3D specialist, recently delighted Phillip Payne, Director of the Institute for Informatics, with a remarkable gift: 3D-printed statues and a personalized Optimus Prime dubbed “Optimus Payne.” Leveraging his mastery in various 3D technologies including scanning, design, and printing, Zach meticulously crafted this distinctive present.
Their acquaintance through the Digital Transformation coffee hours led to an invitation for the Tech Den to showcase its digital transformation and 3D technologies program, featuring Philip’s own 3D scanning demo. This thoughtful gesture underscores our dedication to collaboration with the Digital Transformation Team.
