Starting in the fall semester of 2020, all new and returning undergraduate students at Washington University in St. Louis, must own a laptop that meets University specifications. If a student’s technology is insufficient, Tech Den will recommend upgrades to existing technology, a replacement machine, or another solution to meet students’ technology needs.
Wondering about the recommended specs for a laptop for your degree? Check out techden.wustl.edu – a new site that brings together each school’s recommended hardware specifications and more. This site provides the minimum and recommended specifications that laptops should meet, to provide a central location for specific requirements that the individual WashU schools may have, as well as to provide links to specific models that meet those requirements at a competitive price.
New and returning students looking to learn more about obtaining technology grant money to help them pay for a laptop can gather more information here.
