4th Grader Students Learn About 3D Printing

Few weeks ago, we had a Parent Team Mentor for a 4th grade First Lego League Robotics Team at Covenant Christian School in Town and Country reached out to us to visit 3D printing program at WashU.

The 4th graders at the Covenant Christian School have voted to study 3D printers as part of their season this Fall, and we were delighted to be part of their learning journey.

This past Saturday, on 10/21/23, the eager students made their way to our Student Technology Services center. Here, under the expert guidance of our 3D technology specialist, Zach, they delved into the fundamental concepts of 3D printing. With hands-on training, they not only grasped the basics but also witnessed a live demonstration of the 3D printers in action. Their curiosity took flight as they explored the endless possibilities that this cutting-edge technology had to offer.

Being able to introduce the younger generation to the wonders of 3D printing fills us with immense pride and excitement. We are deeply committed to fostering curiosity and nurturing passion for emerging technologies in younger students, paving the way for a bright future.
